Vegas Weekend
Why is this so hard?
I love Las Vegas. I played hours of poker each week for extra cash during college. I’d hop on cheap Allegiant flights out of Oakland and spend the weekend bouncing from cardroom to cardroom before flying back for class the next week.
So, why am I having a hard time planning a weekend in Vegas?
My wife doesn't gamble.
This is her first trip to Vegas, and I want her to have an amazing time so that we can come back again and again. But, I will admit, my Vegas knowledge consists of poker rooms and loud clubs. That makes it tough to draw up a plan that will make her fall in love with Vegas (and more in love with me! 😉).
Mercury to the rescue
By now, I have a habit of asking Mercury for help in situations like this. Let’s see what ideas Mercury has for the weekend:
This is pretty good, but when I discussed some of these things with my wife, she mentioned that she’s seen Cirque du Soleil before and that she’s not too keen to go on a hike while in Vegas. Let’s try this again but add “No hikes, choose a different show than Cirque du Soleil”:
That’s better. Of course, I’ll still make some personal edits (I'm definitely not wasting time in Vegas to go look at the Hoover Dam).
